#PrayForOpelousas
My heart has been so burdened for our city.Just over this past weekend, the news of drive-by shootings, accidental shootings, untimely deaths, etc. resulting in loss of life for young men & great pain for their families is absolutely heartbreaking.I feel God has given me a prayer directive/assignment for our city and I want to challenge you with that same assignment. As Christians in our great city/parish, we have a responsibility to PRAY. To pray for our city, our city government and officials, our schools, our young people and their families.Regardless of our church affiliation or religious background, we are all called to PRAY.While I have prayed fervently for our city, I feel that God is asking more from me and perhaps He may be asking more of you also?I am asking you to join me in setting an alarm on your phone for 12:00 PM EVERY day. When the alarm goes off, we will commit to bow our heads in prayer and ask God to pour out His presence upon & heal this great city we love so much. It's time for us to lift our prayers to a new level of commitment & urgency. Our young people need our prayers...our families need our prayers....our city needs our prayers!!Will you make this prayer commitment with me? Will you get the word out to your family & friends to join us in prayer? There are families and young people who are depending & pleading for our prayers. Will you join me? 12:00 PM...every day...PRAY for Opelousas!#prayforopelousas
